Initiatives

Our Initiatives have been designed to help companies educate and engage their employees in activities that will improve a specific social issue such as Education, the Environment, and Hunger. These Initiatives make it easy for companies to get involved by providing a variety of community engagement opportunities and as always, EF staff provides additional customized resources and support as needed. These Initiatives harness the power of our network of companies to generate resources needed to improve social issues in our community.

EF Holiday Ideas 2011

In the spirit of the holidays, EF has developed a list of creative ways to get involved this season. This list provides ideas and organizations, but is by no means comprehensive.

EF 2011 Hunger Initiative

EF announces our 2011 Hunger Initiative: an annual campaign to raise awareness and inspire action to end hunger. EF encourages companies to support local food banks with a workplace food drive and fundraising campaign during this winter season. EF's "DO ONE THING" guide has been updated and enhanced with a variety of ideas, opportunities and resources for companies to take part in the effort to alleviate hunger.

Contact a Food Bank in your region for information and resources for organizing a workplace food drive, fund drive, and employee volunteer activities.

Connect with others on EF's Facebook Page to share your hunger initiative plans and follow us on Twitter @EFConnections for hunger-related news and opportunities throughout the initiative.

Contact EF for ideas, assistance and advice with your hunger initiative activities:
